Winter Fashion Essentials
Posted by in Winter Fashion on August 13, 2011
Many women are far more interested in spring and summer fashions than winter but this does not mean you can’t look great during the cold months of the year as well. This year, there are several winter essentials you will want to have in your closet that will not only keep you warm but make you look fabulous for work and after hours as well. Winter is all about casual wear and we are here to outline what you’ll need to create these casual outfits with little to no hassle.
First and foremost are leggings. This is definitely the most obvious factor to include in winter wear. You’ll find that during the winter months of the year leggings are sold in thicker more insulated materials such as wools and cottons and this can make a big difference in warmth. If you are still concerned about warmth, leg warmers are a great match with leggings and tall boots. If you have never worn leggings before, don’t worry about them being too revealing, sweater dresses, long sweaters and tunics are meant to be worn with leggings to cover the areas you don’t want accentuated. Leggings are incredibly affordable which means you can own several different colors!
Next on the list are sweater dresses. This is absolutely a casual wear essential and one that can be worn right through winter and into spring and from fall to winter as well. They can be long or short, made from different materials, in all sorts of different colors and even unique patterns. The choices are nearly endless and this essential staple is also affordable. The great thing about a sweater dress is that it can be worn alone (if it’s long enough), worn with tights or with skinny jeans. Already, you have at least two different outfits here with only two essential fashion pieces to purchase. Read the rest of this entry »
Fashion Shopping on a Budget

Many individuals like to spend money on clothing and shoes but have a limited budget. If you are forced to shop on a budget, there are several ways that you can get more for your money.
If you want to shop for fashion on a budget, make sure you find ways to cut down on your costs. Before going off to the mall or shopping on the internet, create a monthly budget of how much you can spend on clothing, taking into account your other monthly bills.
Decide how much money you want to spend on different kinds of clothes, including those for work, casual, or formal events. Also decide how much money you can spend on shoes. After you decide your budget, do not deviate from it. If you have left money over, don’t spend it impulsively.
Remember that designer brands are usually more expensive. Consider buying affordable labels at more downmarket stores. Invest in quality clothes, not designer clothes. Fashionistas recommend one good suit that fits well over expensive designer wear.
Quality clothes, made of good materials can last several seasons. Also, try to refrain from buying clothing that will be in one season and out another. Stick to the basics and find clothing that is versatile and timeless.
Keep an eye out for discount coupons and save them, especially those found on the internet or in the newspapers. Coupons can help you buy more for less. Also look out for sales, either at the mall or on the internet and take advantage of any sample sales in the area that offer you clothes at reduced rates. Read the rest of this entry »
